I know I start every blog the same,
but WOW I wish I could really explain everything that goes on in Mama Beth
Children Program. It just isn't possible, but it is for sure a privilege to be
with kids at Kijabe. This month’s visit was different and amazing……
The event was intense and full of the
serious and impacting experiences to the kids and myself. My goodness, these kids are amazing. Before
you get these update, a hint for you. When with kids, decide to step away from the
seriousness and become just like one of the kids. Adaptation to their culture makes it a
wonderful experience all over.
One 19th May 2012, the kids
divided into two groups: Rhinos and Buffaloes and I led them in different
competitive games. Buffaloes won in much power and energy despite the rain challenge.
Mama Beth Children Program exists
to help children at Kijabe in Central Kenya. Most of the kids in these families
sleep hungry. Some are orphans, others HIV + and in really bad condition.
Love a child today and create a smile in their face today and remember you can give without loving,
but you can never love without giving.
